This role supports execution of the contract management role &
responsibilities across the business portfolio. Join a dynamic
Contracts team that supports the delivery of ammunition supplies
and management of modernization development and construction
contracting efforts across a diverse portfolio of government,
commercial, and international customers. The Contracts organization
is the trusted business partner managing customer relationships,
negotiating deals, creating innovative solutions, and providing

combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it
will take the form of a hybrid work format based at the Holston
Army Ammunition Plant (HSAAP) facility in Kingsport, TN, with time
split between working onsite and remotely. However, based on
multiple factors, remote work may be a possibility for this
position, at the discretion of the business.As a Principal Contract
Administrator you will:
Lead and manage moderately complex or
complex proposals, contracts, purchase orders, OTAs, and business
agreements including but not limited to analyzing of the
solicitation, preparing summaries based on the analysis, with
attention to the financial and business risk of the proposed
effort, participating in all proposal team meetings, preparing the
terms & conditions and assumptions upon which the proposal may be
submitted, reviewing the technical and pricing proposals for
accuracy and consistency, and preparing proposal documents and
submittal to the customer. Responsibilities also include
coordinating with other company functions as required to ensure
appropriate reviews are conducted, scheduling required reviews, and
obtaining required review and approval signatures prior to
submittal of proposals or execution of contractual documents an
assure compliance with company policies and procedures.Develop and
maintain professional and dependable relationships with both
internal and external customers. Provide analysis of solicitations,
assure that bid/proposals are prepared and presented in a manner so
as to afford the Company the greatest opportunity to obtain the
contract award while minimizing associated liabilities and risk,
support independent proposal reviews (Red Teams, Phase Reviews).
May participate as an assessor in the Phase Review
Process.Establish and manage negotiation strategies and financial
requirements, perform business risk assessment and recommend
mitigation plans, conduct negotiation of contracts requiring a high
degree of negotiation expertise, execute proposals and contracts to
the threshold delegated.Prepare contract summaries, and provide
management with complete, current and accurate data by reporting
progress on contract activity, together with recommendations for
management action/decision.Interface regularly providing advice and
counsel on contractual and business matters to senior management at
the assigned Business Area, Sector or Company level. Develops and
maintains professional and dependable relationships with internal
customers.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years
relevant experience requiredMajor defense acquisition and
commercial contracting experienceHighly developed critical thinking
and communication skills with ability to influence and shape
favorable business outcomes.Excellent communication, presentation,
team-building and leadership skills, with the ability to perform in
a complex cross-functional business environment.Excellent writing
skills is a must, with the ability to write clear and concise
reports, business correspondence, and policies/procedures.Ability
to effect and manage change (both organizational and
contractual).Cost type and Fixed Price Contract
experienceFunctional knowledge of FAR/DFARS and commercial
contracting methods, export, and other government
regulationsExperience with complex contracts and proposal
preparation and executionAbility to interact professionally and
effectively at all levels of the organizationAbility to read,
analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, solicitations/RFPs, or governmental
regulations.Strong business acumen and experienced in risk

InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $78930 - $134190Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
