Risk Adjustment Coder

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Remote Risk Adjustment / HCC Coder (Coder 2) for full-time permanent positions.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical records for accurate diagnosis code abstraction for various risk adjustment programs
Code according to ICD-10-CM guidelines and resolve coding disputes as necessary
Mentor new coders and communicate findings to enhance department operations

Required Qualifications

Over 2 years of medical risk adjustment coding experience
Nationally certified medical coder (CRC, CPC, CCS, etc.) in good standing
Experience with HCC record abstraction and coding requirements
Minimum High School Diploma
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
